University is about meeting new people, discovering new places, and enriching your ideas. FHS students and faculty members gathered on the second week of the Fall semester for a hiking trip to Ras El Metn. The first activity for this semester held by FHS SRC on Sunday, September 17, was attended by more than 30 faculty members and students. Students had the chance to know each other, the Professors and the Dean better, overcome different barriers, and exchange thoughts and ideas on a beautiful day spent in nature.
Ras El Metn is a town in Lebanon located on the western steep slopes of Mount Lebanon, at varying elevation between 800 to 1000 m above sea level. The town is 29 kilometers away from the Lebanese capital city Beirut. Ras El Metn is known for its panoramic and spectacular view to the Mediterranean Sea and towns of Dhour Chweir, Baabdat, Broumana and Beit Mery.
Similar activities will be held throughout the semester to relieve the stress caused by intensified coursework and exams. Future activities will be posted on the faculty calendar. Stay Tuned!
