Dear colleagues,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our Hybrid Seventh Middle East Lung Cancer Conference to be held on July 4-5, 2025 in Beirut.
We are holding this dedicated lung cancer conference for two major reasons:
- Our understanding of lung cancer pathophysiology and genetic mechanisms and our therapeutic options are growing so rapidly that it is hard to keep pace with these updates and our area has specific peculiarities that warrant a dedicated conference to address our regional needs.
- Smoking rates remain high and, unfortunately, are on the rise in our region. This includes not only cigarettes but also Narjileh and other tobacco products. Concurrently, tobacco control measures are either absent or not implemented.
Many pressing issues need to be addressed in our region.
To that aim, we have structured a wonderful scientific program that spans the areas of tobacco control, smoking cessation, patient experiences, early detection, as well as the most up to date therapeutic advances. Parallele nusring and pharmacy tracks are scheduled to address these specific fields.
The speakers include a wealth of expertise both on the local, regional and international level.
The conference will be done hybrid format. In person attendance will be in the ACC Building at AUBMC.
We look forward to your attendance to the Seventh Middle East Lung Cancer Conference.
With Kind regards,
Arafat Tfayli, MD, FRCP
