  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. AUB offers more than 130 programs leading to bachelor's, master's, MD, and PhD degrees. The main language of instruction is English.

Objectives

The Clinical Research Unit (CRU) was set up to foster a culture of quality medical research, through empowering investigators, facilitating efficient operations, and providing research support services at AUB.
The CRU plans to optimize outpatient clinical research operations by guiding faculty members and their research assistants throughout the conduct of clinical trials.
