OpenMinds - AUBMC Special Kids Clinic

The OpenMinds Fund was established in July 2013 by a group of concerned parents and friends to assist children with special needs. It supports the activities of the AUBMC Special Kids Clinic. It has spearheaded numerous awareness projects targeting schools, the media, and the public; organized conferences at AUB; and supported locally relevant research projects conducted by the Boustany teams at the AUBMC Special Kids Clinic and the Neurogenetics Program.

AUB Diabetes Program

At AUB, the AUB Diabetes program is a significant initiative with a clear objective: to prioritize diabetes prevention, management, and cure in healthcare. This goal is supported by three crucial pillars. Firstly, AUB Diabetes provides free weekly clinics to support diabetic patients who are in need, covering the costs of their medical consultations, lab tests, and required medications. Secondly, the program is actively working on increasing awareness about diabetes prevention and treatment through community campaigns. Lastly, AUB Diabetes is involved in state-of-the-art research, where dedicated scientists are working tirelessly to better understand the pathophysiology of diabetes onset and progression, as well as diabetic complications, with the ultimate aim of discovering novel treatments and potentially a cure.
