Vision
The Chapter strives to be a unique global group of Biomedical Sciences graduates that serves as a powerful role model, one which includes and prepares ethical Biomedical Sciences leaders for the support of the society as well as their Alma Mater and beyond within the framework of WAAAUB.
Mission
The Chapter is founded to foster a dynamic network among the Graduates of Biomedical Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine at the American University of Beirut, thus, enabling them to address challenges across science and scientific careers. It provides the appropriate framework to build and support lifelong intellectual, professional and personal interactions and collaborations among its members. The Chapter fosters freedom of thought and expression, respect for diversity, dialogue, and critical thinking, in line with the alma mater’s mission. It will be the platform for keeping its members informed, involved and invested in their alma mater. With members spanning over decades and positioned worldwide, the chapter will form the appropriate and efficient entity to strengthen the ties between AUB-FM and its Biomedical Sciences alumni, thus promoting its vision and mission.

Graduate Students Society
The Faculty of Medicine - Graduate Student Society (FM-GSS) is a student-led initiative that serves as the representative body for all graduate students within the Faculty of Medicine. FM-GSS aims to promote academic, social, and career development opportunities for its members. Our mission is to create a platform for communication and collaboration among graduate students, promote their personal and professional growth, and advocate for their needs and interests within the faculty. The society also strives to foster a sense of community and inclusivity among graduates of different departments. Moreover, FM-GSS works towards providing a supportive environment that endorses academic excellence, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our vision is to empower graduate students to become leaders in their respective fields and make a meaningful impact in the world. We achieve this by organizing various events, seminars, workshops, and networking opportunities that allow our members to connect and collaborate with their peers and faculty members.
