    • Understanding of the biology of Nucleophosmin-1 mutation oncoprotein in the development of Acute Myeloid leukemia
    • Targeted therapies triggering oncoprotein degradation, and their potential beneficial effect on Leukemia cure using two models: Acute Myeloid Leukemia with a specific attention to nucleophosmin-1 and Adult T Cell Leukemia with a specific attention to the viral oncoprotein Tax


  • Dr. Zeina Kanafani:
    • Molecular and clinical epidemiology of Infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates and potential for developing quinolone resistance
    • Clinical manifestations, characteristics, and outcome of infections caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus at AUBMC 
    • Carbapenem use at a tertiary care center in Lebanon: indications, efficacy, adverse events, and cost-effectiveness of ertapenem compared to imipenem and meropenem 
    • Infections following Cesarean section at the American University of Beirut Medical Center 
    • Implanted Vascular Access Device (IVAD) infections at the American University of Beirut Medical Center


  • Dr. Imad Uthman:
    • Register of Ankylosing Spondylitis patients treated with biologics: Prospective Surveillance for efficacy and adverse events. 
    • Register of Rheumatoid Arthritis patients treated with biologics: Prospective Surveillance for efficacy and adverse events. 
    • The use of infliximab in chronic inflammatory diseases- Experience at a tertiary center in Lebanon. 
    • Trends in Lupus Nephritis
    • Patients with axial spondyloarthritis: Multi-country Registry of clinical charcteristics, including radiographic progression, and burden of disease over 5 years in real-life setting.


  • Dr. Jean El Cheikh:
    • The association between pulmonary function test and outcomes of bone marrow transplantation
    • Factors affecting mobilization  in Auto stem cell transplantation patients after Mozobil (plerixafor injection)
    • The role of Geographical distance of bone marrow transplant center in the outcomes of bone marrow transplant
    • Autologous Hematopoietic Stem cell transplantation for Multiple Myeloma: AUBMC experience.
    • Changes in immune profile and impact of genetic mutations on outcome of Multiple Myeloma (MM) patients treated with the combination of a proteasome inhibitor and Imids before and/or after Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation.
    • Changes in Migraine (and other headache types) behavior after Bone marrow transplantation
    • Characteristics of hematopietic proliferations at AUBMC.
