The Pulmonary Function Test Laboratory is the service unit within the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine. Since its foundation, the laboratory strived to maintain a leadership role in providing the most up-to-date diagnostic procedures. It is dedicated to the consistent provision of high quality care in the most efficient and professional manner. The laboratory offers a variety of pulmonary function and Allergy tests to assess lung function and monitor progress of treatment. These tests include:
Dynamic Lung Volume Flow Rates:
- Forced Expiratory Volume In One Second (FEV1)
- Forced Vital Capacity (FVC)
- Expiratory Flow Rate (FEF25-75%)
- Peak Flow Rate (PEFmax)
- Inspiratory Capacity (IC)
- Flow Volume Loop
Static Lung Volumes Capacities:
- Functional Residual Capacity (FRC)
- Total Lung Capacity (TLC)
- Expiratory Reserve Volume (ERV)

Lung Oxygen Exchange:
- Diffusing Capacity of Oxygen (DCO)
- Diffusion Capacity of Oxygen / Corrected
Lung Mechanics:
- Maximal Inspiratory Pressure (MIP)
- Maximal Expiratory Pressure (MEP)
- Maximal Voluntary Ventilation (MVV)
- Airway Resistance Raw (ARR)
- Lung Compliance
Functional Physiologic Testing:
- Cardio-Pulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET)
- 6 Minutes walk Testing (6MWT)
Asthma & Allergy Testing/Therapy:
