The Blood Bank also provides therapeutic apheresis upon the written request of the physician. The apheresis technologist with the clinical pathology resident, under the supervision and guidance of the Blood Bank medical director, run these procedures.
The Blood Bank is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (cap) and the Stem Cell Processing Lab is accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee-ISCT & EBMT (JACIE).
