To provide our patients with State–of-the-Art quality patient care and up to date cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Having an academic post graduate training program; we are committed to teach our residents and students and encourage research in the field of plastic surgery.
Our standards are commensurate with those that are followed by the Department of Surgery at the American University of Beirut Medical Center and its Faculty of Medicine.
The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is currently headed by Dr. Amir Ibrahim and comprises 5 faculty members. It offers all types of plastic surgery from reconstructive to cosmetic, including free flaps and microvascular reimplantations of fingers and digits.
The division also provides a highly sought-after and competitive 7-year residency program initiated in 1988 by Dr. Imad Kaddoura which received initial accreditation by the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2011, and ACGME-I accreditation in 2017.
This is accomplished by training our sub- specialty residents in management of soft tissue injuries; benign and malignant lesions of the skin, congenital deformities, burns, head and neck reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, surgery of the hand, microsurgery and cosmetic surgery. The graduates of this program are expected to possess an all rounded training as well as impeachable ethical standards to serve the country and the Middle East at large.
