I. Eligibility Requirements:
Residents can apply to GME Fellowship programs at AUBMC if they:
1. On Application & required Documents:
Applicants wishing to apply to GME Residency Programs need to:
- Access the application for Graduate Medical Education during the month of November from
November 3, 2025 till
November 21, 2025.
- Fill out all sections of the online application.
- Upload the following documents to the online application:
- Photocopy of ID
- Photocopy of passport
- Photocopy of Social Security Number (if the applicant is a US citizen/Green Card holder)
- Passport-size photo
- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Certified copy of license to practice Medicine from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health (if applicable; required only from Lebanese citizens)
- Report or letter verifying that the resident has passed the specialty board certification (if applicable)
- Any required document not uploaded on the online application within the application period can be
emailed to the GME Office staff no later than
January 8, 2026.
- Personal statements describing interest in the sub-specialty and career plans should be forwarded **directly to the concerned programs** when called for an interview. Do not send it to the GME Office or upload it through the online application.
2. On Application Choices:
Number of Choices
- Each applicant may apply to two fellowship programs only.
- When completing the online application, you will initially apply for one program choice.
- To add a second choice, you must start a new application.
- Most information from your first application will be automatically repeated in the second one; however, you must specify your additional program choice.
- The first submitted application will be considered your first choice, and the second will be your second choice.
Matching Process
- Your ranking (first and second choice) will be used in the matching process, with priority given to your first choice.
- If you are accepted to both programs, you will automatically be accepted to your first choice and removed from the second-choice list.
- Fellowship programs are blinded to your ranking, so they will not see which program was your first or second choice.
Important Notes
- The online application system allows a maximum of two applications only.
- Any attempt to start or submit a third application will be disregarded by the GME Office.
- The GME Office will not accept any changes to your program choices after submission.
3. On Application Process: Application Review and Selection Process
- Applications of eligible applicants will be forwarded to the concerned program(s).
- Applicants may be invited for an interview in one or two programs.
- Accepted applicants who accept the offered position and sign the letter of intent, but later decide not to join the GME fellowship program, will not be eligible to apply to any GME Program at AUB in the future.
