I. Online Application:
1. Application & Required Documents
Applicants wishing to apply to GME Residency Programs must complete and submit the online application between November 3 and November 21, 2025, including the following steps:
- Fill out all required sections
- Upload the supporting documents and match them to the checklist before the deadline
Required Documents
- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- IFOM BSE and/or CSE score reports (if applicable)
- For Transferring Residents (upload under “Other documents if any”):
- A release letter from the Program Director (if enrolled in a categorical track program)
- A letter of verification from the Program Director including:
- Current standing in the program
- List of completed rotations
- Summative competency-based evaluation

- Personal Statement only for some applicants applying to certain residency programs such as Emergency Medicine, Neurology, and Psychiatry. Do not upload the personal statement with your online application. Email directly to the program when called for an interview.
2. Application Choices
- Each applicant may apply to two programs only
- The first submitted application is considered your first choice
- To apply to a second program, you must submit a separate application with the same information, but select a different program
- Important: You only pay once—no additional fees for the second application
Matching Process:
If accepted to both choices, the applicant will automatically be placed in the first choice
Programs will be blinded to applicants' program choices
Application Limit:
The system allows a maximum of two applications
If a third application is started, the GME Office will disregard it
No changes to program choices are allowed after submission
3. Application Process
After submitting your application and required documents, the GME Office will review for completeness and eligibility
Eligible applications are forwarded to the respective programs
Applicants may be invited for interviews in one or two programs
(Note: Not all eligible applicants will be interviewed)
Some programs may require additional clinical assessments (e.g., OSCEs)
Accepted applicants who accept the offered position and sign the letter of intent but later decide not to join the GME Programs will not be eligible to apply to any GME Program at AUB in the future.
