Graduate Medical Education is one of the central missions of the American University of Beirut and its Medical Center. The Graduate Medical Education Office is dedicated to training medical graduates in high-quality and cost-effective patient care and to offer trainees challenging research opportunities in a humanistic environment committed to lifelong learning. The School of Medicine at AUB, founded in 1867, has graduated thousands of physicians who trained in a medical center committed to "providing excellent, accessible and comprehensive health services to the people of Lebanon and the region..."
Graduate training programs are now offered in the Departments of Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Diagnostic Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology - H.N.S., Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Neurology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Radiation Oncology and Surgery. Moreover, training programs are also offered in different sub-specialties of Anesthesiology, Diagnostic Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Surgery.
