Biosafety Level-2 (BSL-2) Tissue Culture Facilities

Our Tissue Culture Facilities offer a variety of cell culture support services to all AUB Faculty of Medicine investigators. You will find everything needed to grow and experiment on cell lines, whether immortalized, transformed or primary cell cultures.

Most of our facilities are Biosafety Level -2 (BSL-2). The CDC guidelines allows BSL-2 use for growth of all cell lines free of infectious agents, including growth of replication incompetent viral vectors for gene delivery.

We also have an on-site fridge and freezer to purchase cell culture supplies and molecular reagents at discounted prices.

Reagents and Consumables:

Safety and technical training is provided for new users. The equipment and hoods are managed and maintained by core facility staff.
