  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolic Diseases

Cardiovascular and Metabolic diseases are still the leading cause of death in neonates and adults in our country and the rest of the world. The focus in this research program is on organ/organelle structure and function, and the molecular and genetic basis of different diseases.
