  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. Immunity and Infections

Respiratory tract diseases and auto-immune diseases, in addition to the growing number of modified viruses and bacteria are threatening our society. The topics in this research program address many aspects of these diseases reflecting the expertise of the various researchers in their respective fields.
