Every year at the opening session of our residency program, I emphasize the importance of values in our professional and personal endeavors. Our guiding principles are three: partnership among us based on collegial and respectful behavior, working ethics reflecting our dedication to patients, and truth- nothing but the truth towards each other and our patients.
Living by these tenets, hard work has always paid off, leading us to be approved by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) and the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education for our Master's of Science in Orthodontics degree. The program combines the MS studies with the orthodontic residency at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. Candidates may submit their application online through AUB's website.
The applications are first reviewed to determine eligibility to take the entrance examination, which is preceded by a Review Week (please consult the Admission’s section for application and scheduling details). The MS in Orthodontics does not provide the equivalent experience required for a license to practice dentistry in New York.
We are also proud that our continuing education program is supported by the American Dental Association (ADA) Continuing Education Recognition Program (CERP). As ADA CERP provider, we appreciate the responsibility for which we are entrusted to impart evidence-based knowledge and practice, also buttressed by the same values underlying our daily activities.
