GE courses will revise on meeting GE Learning Outcomes every three years. This evaluation based on GE course files, which will include course syllabus, samples of instructor material, and sample of students’ work. The following additional criteria that will taken into consideration for designating a course under “General Education” are:
- A Humanity course should cover at least one of the two humanities-specific learning outcomes.
- A Humanity course is List I if at least 50% of its content highly correlates to all the Humanity Learning Outcomes.
- A Humanity course is classified as List II if at least 30% of its content correlates to at least one Humanities Learning Outcome.
- A Social Science course should cover at least one of the two social science-specific learning outcomes.
- A Social Science course is List I if at least 50% of its content highly correlates to all the Social Science Learning Outcomes
- A Social Science course is categorized as List II if at least 30% of its content relates to at least one Social Science Learning Outcome
- A Natural Science course is GE if at least 40% of its content covers at least the two natural science-specific learning outcomes.
- A Quantitative Thought course is GE if at least 40% of its content covers the Quantitative Thought specific learning outcomes.
