Ad for a professorial rank faculty position-HSON
The Hariri School of Nursing (HSON) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for a full time tenure-track faculty position at all ranks.
HSON is particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates with a focused research program and experience in -undergraduate and graduate education. The successful candidate is expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
HSON, established in 1905, is the leading school of nursing in Lebanon and the region, recognized nationally and internationally for excellence in education, research, and service. It is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and a PhD in Nursing Science.
- Conduct research in areas of interest consistent with the foci of the School.
- Maintain a record of scholarly publications in peer reviewed journals.
- Prepare, teach, and evaluate assigned courses.
- Use teaching strategies appropriate to learning needs
- Participate in School and University committees.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in nursing from an accredited university. The candidate will also demonstrate strong research portfolio with a good publication record in respected peer reviewed and relevant journals, and experience in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses. In addition, the candidate must have demonstrate experience in attracting grants to support her/his research portfolio.
