The Hariri School of Nursing made history with Rima Saad defending her PhD Thesis on Primary Caregiver's Knowledge, Attitudes, and Beliefs toward Palliative Care for Children with Cancer. Rima Saad gave an excellent scientific presentation to a local and international committee of nursing scientists and a global audience of 78 attendees, few attending in person and the rest via zoom.
The Hariri School of Nursing continues to graduate top notch students in its Bachelors, Masters, and now PhD programs. Dr. Saad's defense marks a new milestone in the history of the Hariri School of Nursing as the first PhD student to graduate from this program. The thesis committee was chaired by Dr. Samar Noureddine, with members from Lebanon and the US.
The HSON I/Dean and faculty wish Dr. Saad a great start for a prosperous academic career and looks forward to seeing all our PhD students follow suit.
