Understanding the Vulnerability of Coastal Cities in Lebanon to Climate Change: The Case of Batroun & Tyre

As part of the “Understanding the Vulnerability of Coastal Cities in Lebanon to Climate Change: The Case of Batroun & Tyre” project, the Climate Change & Environment program at IFI held its second consultation meeting in Tyre in partnership with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung & the municipality of Tyre

This project which is implemented in partnership with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), and the municipality of Batroun, aims to contribute to a better understanding of the vulnerability of smaller coastal cities in Lebanon to climate change risks through the case studies of Batroun and Tyre, in order to inform resilient city planning.

The meeting aimed to guide the undertaken vulnerability assessment to climate change impacts through prioritizing the sectors of interest within each city in a participatory approach.
