Climate Change and Environment in the Arab World

Sustainable Transportation Series

IFI’s Climate Change and Environment in the Arab World Program launched a call for research papers under the framework “Building the Case for Sustainable Transportation in the Arab World”. The resulting papers from this call, alongside other papers were presented during a one-day regional conference.

The papers covered topics ranging from: A benchmarking of policy options on sustainable transportation in the region; the economic and social impacts of switching to sustainable transportation; and case studies from the region. The outcome was a series of seven Policy Briefs and six Working Papers, that explore the challenges involved in the field of sustainable transportation in the Arab world. Most importantly, it gives recommendations for different transport-related challenges.
