  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. The University encourages freedom of thought and expression and seeks to graduate men and women committed to creative and critical thinking, lifelong learning, personal integrity, civic responsibility, and leadership.

AUB offers more than 130 programs leading to bachelor's, master's, MD, and PhD degrees. The main language of instruction is English.

Curatio International Foundation - Priority Setting

Curatio International Foundation revised its existing priority-setting tool based on the priority setting template provided by K2P Center.

The priority setting tool was administered online to 34 policymakers and stakeholders (including Ministry of Health, Parliament Health and Social Issues Committee, National Center for Disease Control, Experts, Primary Healthcare Providers, Medical Association, and WHO UN representatives) to generate and rank priority topics in health policy and systems research against selected criteria.

Priority topics:

Pharmaceutical pricing policies to improve the population's access to pharmaceuticals
Effectiveness, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of digital solutions used in primary health care to improve population health outcomes and reduce health care costs
