Youth are our societies’ catalysts of change, and now, more than ever, there is a shared eagerness in youth to engage with, challenge, and influence the sociopolitical tides around them. At K2P, we understand the role that youth can play in not only raising awareness but instigating change. As part of our efforts to promote active youth participation and empowerment in policymaking, K2P launched the “K2P Policy Bootcamp for Youth” in 2021.
The K2P Policy Boot Camp for Youth is dedicated to youths (15 to 24 years) who value the translation of advocacy and activism into tangible policy change. The Bootcamp gathers youths from Lebanon and the region to equip them with the fundamentals of evidence-informed public health policymaking, pitching and public speaking, advocacy, media engagement, data visualization, and artificial intelligence in Public Health. These essential skills are crucial in today’s rapidly evolving world, where young people can make significant contributions to improving community health and wellbeing.
By fostering a strong foundation in evidence-informed policymaking, the bootcamp empowers youth to become effective advocates for positive change. The bootcamp additionally provides opportunities for networking and building connections within the public health community. These relationships can open doors to future career opportunities and contribute to the ongoing growth and development of each participant.
The Knowledge to Policy Center (K2P) Center of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut (AUB), are excited to announce the FOURTH edition of the K2P Policy Bootcamp for Youth! This event will take place from July 7 - 14, 2025, at the AUB Campus in Beirut.
