ASHRAE 1st International Conference on Efficient Building Design

ASHRAE's First International Conference on Efficient Building Design was held at AUB October 2-3, 2014. The conference feautured a set of international and local keynote speakers, 40 presentations and technical papers on alternative energy use in buildings, indoor air quality, solar energy in building systems, and other energy conservation strategies, in addition to the findings of six research studies by AUB faculty.

The conference was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at AUB, ASHRAE, and the Munib and Angela Masri Institute of Energy and Natural Resources and was sponosred by a set of international and local companies from the refrigeration and cooling industry.

Confernce sponsors included: AWAL Gulf Manufacturing Co.; Dar Al-Handasah (Shair & Partners); UNIC Air Conditioning & Refrigeration; Majdalani Engineering and Trading & CLIMAVENETA Sustainable Comfort; Acrefine Engineering, Khatib and Alami; N. Hermes & Co.; and Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation.
