The 2nd International Conference and Exhibition on Efficient Building Design—Materials and HVAC Equipment Technologies was held at the American University of Beirut on September 22 - 23, 2016. The conference, organized by ASHRAE, the ASHRAE Lebanese Chapter, the Munib and Angela Masri Institute of Energy and Natural Resources and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at American University of Beirut and spnosored by the Order of Engineeris and Architects, presented advanced research on the topics of better building design, particularly adapted to the Arab region and its hot, humid Gulf climate, and moderate, humid Mediterranean climate.
