The Munib & Angela Masri Institute of Energy and Natural Resources at AUB hosted a seminar titled "From Basics to Innovation: The Journey of Electronics Cooling" by Professor Mohammed Amer, on Thursday October 16, 2025 at 5:00 pm Beirut time. The talk was followed by a Q & A.
Dr. Mohammed Amer is head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie. He earned his PhD in mechanical science from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, and has extensive experience in advanced thermal management, cooling systems, and mechatronic solutions. His research spans artificial intelligence, solar PV/T systems, nanofluids, and aerodynamics, with over 50 publications and 10 patents. Dr. Amer also serves on international editorial boards and professional societies. His achievements have been recognized with multiple awards, including the Best Product Award in Taiwan in 2023 and the ICEISET Best Paper Award in 2023.
Dr. Amer is a visiting scholar in a joint progam between the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MSFEA) and the Palestine Academy for Science and Technology (PALAST). For more information about the program, please visit here.
