The Status of CO2 Emissions, Capture, and Storage in Saudi Arabia

​The Munib and Angela Masri Institute of Energy and Natural Resources will be hosting Dr. Hussein Hoteit, the Associate Professor in Reservoir Engineering at Ali I. Al-Naimi Petroleum Engineering Research Center (ANPERC), KAUST, in a talk titled "The Status of CO2 emissions, Capture, and Storage in Saudi Arabia" on October 4, 2019 at the American University of Beirut. The talk will be followed by a Q & A session. 

Before joining KAUST, Prof. Hoteit worked for ConocoPhillips and Chevron oil companies in Houston, TX. He has about 15 years of industry experience in reservoir engineering. He currently leads a group of 14 PhD students and researchers with a focus on projects related to chemical EOR, carbon storage, unconventional resources, and reservoir simulation development. Prof. Hoteit was an SPE DL, distinguished lecturer, in 2009. He served as an Associate Editor for SPE J. for more than ten years, has received several SPE awards.​
