The Munib and Angela Masri Institute at the American University of Beirut is partnering with the MIT Lebanon Challenge 2020 in an upcoming competition that is calling on driven people from all around the globe to create and implement practical solutions to Lebanon’s most pressing challenges.
MIT Lebanon Challenge 2020 is a 48-hour virtual hackathon designed to unite diverse minds from all professional and academic backgrounds to join virtually from June 26-28, 2020.
The hackathon is organized around three tracks:
- Basic needs: Ensuring the provision of basic goods and services
- Knowledge economy: Leverage investments made in the knowledge economy to grow the tech sector
- Industrial economy: Developing local agriculture and production to decrease reliance on imports
