The Ibrahim and Loulu Durr Endowed MRVP Award was established in May 2015. Proceeds from this award fund will be used to award students enrolled in the MRVP/MRVP-Int'l.
The two $1,000 cash Ibrahim and Loulu Durr Endowed MRVP Awards are given annually to two students (preferably one male, one female) enrolled in MRVP/MRVP-Int'l who have demonstrated outstanding medical research capabilities, based on the MRVP committee evaluation. Special consideration will be given to students who have shown outstanding research capabilities in the biochemistry field.
2024 Awards

Fatima was working on the MRVP-Int'l project entitled, "Differentiating Sacral Neuromodulation Lead Electrode Configurations Using Motor and Sensory Thresholds and Locations of Sensation" with Dr. Nissrine Nakib from the University of Minnesota.
Layana was working on the MRVP-Int'l project entitled, "Preparing Core Curriculum Case Series for the American Journal of Kidney Diseases" with Dr. Joe El-Khoury from Yale University.
