American University of Beirut

Since 2009, the AUB MSFEA is the first Apple Authorized Training Centre for Education (AATCE) in Lebanon, where Graphic Design students receive professional training on Apple Pro apps.

The AATCE program supports educational institutions that incorporate Apple-authorized course materials into their existing accredited curriculum and administer certifications to their enrolled students and faculty. This program is flexible in its design, using the Apple Pro Training Series textbooks and other materials to augment the existing curriculum.

Students majoring in Graphic Design receive professional training in Apple Pro Apps at the third or fourth year level. Training sessions are carried out in MSFEA Mac labs which are equipped with iMac computers along with printers, scanners, and projectors. At the end of the sessions, students sit for an online exam with Pearson VUE, Apple's official computer-based testing partner, and they become Apple Certified Pros upon passing the test. As such, students are recognized as highly skilled users of the chosen application, which enables their career growth. They receive a certificate from Apple and have the right to use the Apple Certified Pro logo and signature on their corporate identity. In addition, their names are listed on the Apple Certified Professional Registry.

AUB-MSFEA is the only AATCE in Lebanon. Currently, certifications are offered in Final Cut Pro X, Apple's leading post-production application for video editing.
