The Civil and Environmental Engineering program maintains specialized teaching and research laboratories for environmental, geotechnical, hydraulics, pavement, construction and structural engineering. Equipment and instrumentation are also available to conduct investigations and surveys in transportation and surveying engineering. Furthermore, computer facilities are available for students in most labs. The Civil and Environmental Engineering Laboratories also provide service to industry services. The labs are used by the local engineering professional community for the reliable and prompt testing services in various specialties. The laboratories are serviced by specialized staff, with one full-time faculty member serving as the faculty supervisor to each facility. The CEE laboratories are managed by Mr. Helmi El Khatib and a group of highly dedicated supervisors, lab managers, lab engineers, and trained technicians.
The CEE labs encompass the following specialized laboratories and research hubs:
- Structural Engineering Lab (Riad Kamal)
- Geotechnical Lab (Fadlo and Justine Touma)
- Transportation Lab and Surveying Laboratory (Neddy Jouzy)
- Environmental Engineering Research Center (EERC)
- Solid Waste Laboratory
- Water Resources Center (Sami Sidawi)
- Hydraulics Laboratory
- Materials Research Lab
- Holcim Asphalt Lab
- Construction Engineering Lab
