  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. The University encourages freedom of thought and expression and seeks to graduate men and women committed to creative and critical thinking, lifelong learning, personal integrity, civic responsibility, and leadership.

AUB offers more than 130 programs leading to bachelor's, master's, MD, and PhD degrees. The main language of instruction is English.

MSFEA CREATES Communication Research, Education, and Transdisciplinary Exploration Studio

MSFEA CREATES is the faculty’s in-house communication studio, where engineering and design students learn to convey complex ideas clearly, confidently, and creatively. By blending knowledge from technical and social fields, the studio teaches communication as a skill that builds character and bridges disciplines.

Our team of faculty, experts, and graduate fellows guides students in writing, speaking, presenting, and visual storytelling. Through workshops, coaching, and course partnerships, students explore strategies that enhance their academic performance and prepare them for professional success.

The studio also amplifies the faculty’s voice. Our resident writers and media specialists shape and share MSFEA’s stories, connecting ideas across disciplines and extending the faculty’s impact beyond campus.
