How to charge your phone from thin air?

Faculty Spotlight: Joseph Costantine

Dr. Joseph Costantine, is an associate professor in the electrical and computer engineering department at MSFEA. His research has significantly advanced antennas for biomedical applications, space vehicles, and small satellites.

With the proliferation of the Internet technologies billions of devices will be connected and constantly communicating. But how do we power these devices when they are in a remote agricultural field, in a wearable medical device, or embedded in a road pavement?

In the near future your mobile phone will connect to a Wi-Fi node not only to communicate, but also to recharge!

Learn more in the following video of Costantine's talk.

IDEAS Talks are an opportunity to learn from MSFEA experts about timely topics in engineering, technology, and design. IDEAS 2019 took place at the American University of Beirut on April 18, 2019.
