There is no formal English language proficiency requirement for this certificate, and applicants are not required to submit proof of language proficiency. However, since the program is delivered entirely in English, participants should have a good working knowledge to participate effectively in the program.

The courses consist of pre-recorded lectures that you can access at your convenience. Each course includes one online live interactive session per week, providing you with the opportunity to interact with both your instructors and fellow students. All live sessions are recorded in case you cannot attend.

No refunds will be issued once payment has been made. Applicants are encouraged to review the program details carefully before completing their registration.

This is a "pass or fail" program. You'll be assessed based on your ability to meet learning objectives throughout the course. This will likely involve various activities such as multiple-choice questions, case studies, and hands-on assignments. The focus is on demonstrating competence and engagement with the material, rather than traditional exams.  

The program is delivered fully online over 5 weeks. It includes asynchronous learning materials (short videos, interactive lessons, Podcasts) combined with weekly synchronous (live) feedback and working sessions. You'll also interact with instructors and TAs via virtual office hours. 

You should expect to commit approximately 3-4 hours per week per module. 

The first intake for the 'AI-Assisted Coding’ is scheduled to begin on June 29, 2026. 

Upon successful completion, you will receive a professional certificate issued by the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MSFEA), signed by the Dean of MSFEA and the Director of the Abdulla al Ghurair Hub for Digital Teaching and Learning.
