Additional tasks, related to turbulence models’ implementation have also been part of his work in the CFD Group.
Mostafa Hammoud, PhD Candidate
Mostafa is working since several years in his PhD in theoretical physics trying to contribute to the understanding of the role of magnetic re-connection in heating the solar corona, which is a long-standing problem. Since the problem is part of fluid dynamics the supervisor of Mostafa Dr. Mounib El Eid was excited to have the input, experience and collaboration of Dr Marwan Darwish facing the heavy computational part of the thesis. It is a nice occasion to have collaboration between physics and mechanical engineering which may initiate further collaborations in the future.
