Dr. Saliba was invited to take part in the Hegra Conference of Nobel Laureates 2020 held from Thursday 30 January to Saturday 1 February. As described by the organisers, "The Hegra Conference is an extraordinary, unprecedented gathering of global intellectual leaders in the Nabataean civilization’s city of Hegra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in an area that has served as a crossroads of civilizations, ideas, stories, theories, and traditions for more than 7,000 years."

The Conference consisted of several Town Hall-style sessions, encouraging each attendee to contribute their knowledge, expertise, and curiosity to the topic at hand. Dr. Saliba was a VIP contributor in the “Heritage In The Anthropocene” Town Hall session, in which she discussed how current environmental crises are affecting our ability to preserve human heritage and how future generations will look back on previous ones if they fail to address our global environmental challenges.
She said: “I am honored to have shared and discussed the way forward in protecting, conserving, and confronting the challenges facing our Heritage, Environment, Economy, and Education with the Nobel Laureates and prominent leaders at the Hegra Conference of Nobel Laureates 2020”
