Native Lebanese Plants And Recipes
The plant database at the AUB – Nature Conservation Center provides information about native plants, including trees, shrubs, herbs and wild edible plants. It is a culmination of more than ten years of efforts in research pertaining to Lebanon’s richness in biodiversity.
Experts in agriculture, biology, chemistry, economics, medicine, nutrition and other fields have closely worked together to generate the findings presented in the NCC Wild Plant Database. These include, but are not limited to, plant folk use, taxonomy, cultivation, domestication, nutritional facts, and chemical and biological properties.
AUB - NCC has also worked on a number of recipes using these indigenous plants, in order to highlight their health benefits and uses.
