Virtual Orientation for Part-Time Faculty


​​​​This section is specifically designed for part-time and adjunct faculty members teaching in a face-to-face, hybrid or online learning environment​​. Whether you have recently joined AUB or you are  returning  but have not previously attended orientation at the university, you are invited to participate in this special  virtual orientation.

This  orientation program will be offered on a yearly basis​; the dates will be announced at least a month prior to the event. 

Information presented during the orientation is intended to introduce the part-time faculty to (1) campus services which support faculty and students; (2) campus resources and support services for teaching and learning including integrating technology into courses; (3) and key institutional expectations of faculty​.

Through the Part-time and adjunct faculty orientation program, participants will have the opportunity to situate themselves within the large AUB community, explore concepts of teaching values, diversity and mutual respect, use a variety of teaching techniques, while considering the possibilities for embedding technology into teaching that promote active learning and engage and motivate learners.

Following each iteration of this orientation, participants will be invited to fill out a Lime Survey that will be administered through the IT Office.​
