Introduction
The common method of soliciting funds and approaching potential sponsors to support research and other activities is writing proposals in a manner which clearly defines the research concept and the problem, and states the benefits to be gained as a result of the efforts and research activities proposed. The faculty member is responsible for drafting the proposal and is the individual who will play the role of a principal investigator or project director and will eventually be responsible for the project upon award approval.
This section will focus on describing the various processes of pre-proposal, proposal and budget preparation, as well as tips on writing proposals.
