​​​Mobility opportunities for AUB Staff

AUB has ERASMUS+ agreements with the below universities. Placement depends on the availability of a host or host department with mutual interests. If you are interested in visiting one of these universities kindly fill this nomination form.

NOTE: mobility duration may vary depending on the agreement. The minimum is 5 working days and two travel days.

Freie Universitat Berlin
Field: all fields
Freie Universität is one of the eleven universities to have been successful in all three lines of funding in the German government's Excellence Initiative in 2012. The future development concept of Freie Universität is based on three key strategic centers: the Center for Research Strategy, which focuses on research planning; the Center for International Cooperation; and the Dahlem Research School, which supports next-generation academic talent.

Politecnico di Torino
Field: all fields
The university has around 32,000 students, with 50% from outside the region and about 15% who are foreign - the highest percentage in Italy. The degrees are internationally recognised and students can choose to follow degree courses taught in English. Politecnico di Torino is ranked among the first 25 European technical Universities Engineering/Technology/Computer Science.

Staffordshire University
Field: Computing and Digital Technologies
This project aims to boost IoT skills and employability by biding for international credit Staff mobility for training between SU in the United Kingdom and AUB in Lebanon.
Staff from AUB will be selected to undertake training and research in SU. They will be trained to use professional tools in SU's Internet of Things (IoT) lab facilities. They will have the opportunity to develop their teaching practice, pedagogic leadership and development of their professional skills as well as to initiate and run research projects in collaboration with SU staff in order to connect IoT teaching practice to research.

University of Granada Spain

The Universidad de Granada, founded in 1531, continues a long teaching tradition, the roots of which can be traced back to the madrasahs of the last Nasrid Kingdom. Over 60,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students study at the UGR, with another 20,000 students taking additional courses, language courses, summer courses etc. The University employs 3650 lecturers and over 2000 administration, technical and maintenance staff.

University College Dublin

UCD is one of Europe's leading research-intensive universities; an environment where undergraduate education, masters and PhD training, research, innovation and community engagement form a dynamic spectrum of activity. The international standing of UCD has grown in recent years; it is currently ranked within the top 1% of institutions world-wide. UCD is also Ireland's most globally engaged university with over 30,000 students drawn from over 120 countries, and includes 5,500 students based at locations outside of Ireland.

University of The Aegean

The UAegean has created a strong international academic and research profile, having been an active member of the European Universities Association (EUA), a founding partner of the Cremo network, member of the EMUNI Senate, partner in many academic and research networks and participant in more than 210 bilateral and LLP Erasmus academic agreements.
