Rhodes FAQs
When do I have to apply by?
We ask that you indicate interest by June 23, 2024 by submitting the provided form. We do not require a polished application at this stage. The external deadline depends on the constituency you are applying in, and is listed here.
What constituency should I apply in?
While most AUB students will be eligible to apply in the SJLP constituency, many may be eligible to apply in other constituencies, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, USA, Canada, Australia, and others. Please check the eligibility criteria.
Can alumni apply? Does AUB endorse alumni? Will alumni have access to the OIP’s resources when preparing their applications?
Yes, yes, and yes! We do not distinguish between current students and alumni.
Can I still apply even if I am not nominated by AUB?
Yes! You may apply directly to the Rhodes Scholarship without a university endorsement. You may also seek a nomination from another university if you are affiliated with one. In all cases, we will be happy to work with you to help you build the strongest application possible.
Still not sure?
That’s okay! Submitting the internal form does not imply commitment, but it at least keeps you in the loop while you make your decision.
