Washington and Lee University: John M. Gunn International Scholarship
Washington and Lee University welcomes applicants for the John M. Gunn International Scholarship for Visiting Students.
Through the Gunn Scholarship, eligible students are invited to spend one year at W&L to augment the major studies in which they are engaged at their home institutions. The scholarship pays the full tuition, room, board, and transportation costs for one year.
Gunn scholars may come from any academic discipline, but preference is given to students who will focus their work in our Williams School of Commerce, Economics, and Politics.

The International Parliamentary Scholarship Programme (IPS) for Arab countries
The International Parliamentary Scholarship Programme (IPS) for Arab countries of the German Bundestag grants young and talented Arab graduates the opportunity to get to know the German parliamentary system during a one-month programme in September 2018. The programme is intended for talented Arab graduates who are interested in politics and who are keen to play an active role in promoting core democratic values in their home countries. The one-month programme, including a one-week internship in a Member’s constituency, is intended to bring German politics closer to the participants.
The applicants should be under the age of 35 at the start of the scholarship, politically engaged, graduated from university, and proficient in German. The admission period for the International Parliamentary Scholarship for Arab countries 2019 expires on 31st January 2019. All applications are to be send to the German diplomatic representation of the applicant’s home country.

LKY School offers master degree programmes in public policy for professionals who are at different stages of their career. Scholarship opportunities are available to AUB students
.To apply for the scholarship, students must submit an application to OIP by November 11,2018.
Once students apply:
- The list of applicants will be shared with the students' faculty
- Students will be nominated by their faculty selection committee.
- AUB will convey the list of nominees to NUS-LKY who will contact nominees for further assessment and assistance with their application.
Note the following:
- AUB’s nominees’ applications need to go through assessment by the NUS-LKY Admissions Committee
- Scholarships are awarded on merit for shortlisted candidates
- Eligibility for MIA and MPP: Students graduating no later than Spring 2019 or students who have already graduated.

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program
The Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program is a new university-wide, global, postgraduate fellowship at Stanford University. Each Knight-Hennessy Scholar will receive full funding to pursue a postgraduate degree at Stanford in any field of study - from PhDs in arts, education, engineering, humanities, or social sciences to professional degrees in business, law, or medicine. - “University Summer Courses offered in Germany for Foreign Students and Graduates “ is open for applicants. This programme aims to help students and graduates improve their knowledge of German (general language, special language) and their cultural knowledge of the country. Applications are open to students enrolled in Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in any subject area. Bachelor students must have completed at least two academic years at the start of the scholarship period.
The grant holder must be at least 18 years old when he/she starts the funded stay. Applicants must be registered at a university of one of the programme-related countries (except Germany) at the time their funded stay begins.
Applicants must be able to follow lectures in German and collaborate in teams therefore, applicants must provide proof of a minimum language level of B1.
The courses run for at least 18 teaching days (max. 5 days/week, excluding days of arrival and departure) with a minimum of 25 hours of teaching a week. For more information click here.
