ALL non-Lebanese students coming to study at AUB need to have a valid passport for a period of at least 12 months and are encouraged to secure an entry visa either through OIP or through the Lebanese embassy/consulate in their country of residence.
Check with the nearest Lebanese embassy or consulate in your country about whether you require an entry visa to Lebanon as some nationalities are entitled, by Lebanese Immigration Laws, to a free single entry visa upon arrival to Beirut Airport.
Government and Ministry of Health regulations regarding travel and COVID-19 testing
All passengers arriving in Lebanon are required to show proof of a valid travel insurance policy that includes coverage of medical care related to COVID-19.
- If you are arriving to Lebanon from a country where PCR testing is available, you are required to take a PCR test within 3 days prior to your flight to Beirut at any authorized testing center in their country of residence. You will only be allowed to board the plane if you have tested negative. You will be required to take another PCR test upon arrival to Lebanon ($50 USD) and should expect to hear back from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health within 48 hours. You are expected to self-quarantine until you receive the results of the PCR test taken upon your arrival.
- If you are arriving to Lebanon from where no PCR testing is available, you will be required to take a PCR test upon arrival – at your own expense ($50 USD) and self-quarantine until you hear back from the Ministry of Health. You will be required to take another test within 4 days after your arrival to Lebanon.
