OSB is pleased to inform you that the School is the first partner of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute in the region. Being a CFA Affiliate, OSB undergraduate and graduate students will have access and privilege to many benefits, some of which are listed below:
1. Level I Curriculum
Students will have access to the "Level I" curriculum of the CFA Program. The curriculum may be accessed by visiting the Reuters Trading Room, located on the floor of the OSB building (room 209), to browse the curriculum on a dedicated terminal.
2. News Brief via Email
Students will receive complimentary access to the Financial News Brief, a daily investment brief and an excellent source of worldwide news delivered daily to their inbox, free of charge.
As a CFA Program Partner University, OSB may award up to 5 CFA program scholarships each fiscal year. These scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students in their final year of course work (seniors), or to graduate students.
If you are interested in the program and think you qualify to receive a sponsorship based on your motivation, your commitment to the investment profession, and your GPA, please write an email explaining why you should receive a scholarship to lecturer Lina Tannir
in Finance, Accounting, and Managerial Economics Track. You will need to attach the following documents:
- Updated copy of your resume
- Most recent university transcript
- Cover letter
You may access a variety of CFA publications such as the Financial Analysts Journal, CFA Magazine, CFA Digest, and Conference Proceedings Quarterly. These publications and others will be available for viewing at the Reuters Trading Room
during regular opening hours of the lab.
