As an ambitious graduate interested in starting a career in HRM, I applied to the Master’s in HRM program at AUB - OSB with an aim of gaining in-depth knowledge in the core areas of HRM. Throughout the program, I learned that human capital management is invariably a strategic concern, noting how HR strategies need to be integrated with the overall strategy of the firm. What I personally liked about the program is the fact that it offers a blend of practice and theory necessary for developing strategic thinking, evidence-based knowledge, and practical expertise in human resources and organizational behavior. After graduating from the program, I started working with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research based in Switzerland, contributing to many different diplomacy related projects provided to diplomats based in Geneva and staff of international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and private sector companies. As an alumnus of the program, I would like to thank the OSB faculty who bring forth their renowned experiences to provide students with endless opportunities to learn, practice, and lead. I would also like to thank the OSB Career Management Services for all the support that is continuously provided as I aim to make optimal use of my knowledge, skills, and interests in the pursuit of a meaningful and purposeful career.
