Having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from AUB with an emphasis in Human Resources, I developed a passion for this field, and thus chose to further specialize in it at AUB. I have benefitted greatly from this program, all the way from the faculty, staff, courses, to my diverse classmates who I learnt a lot from. The program made me strongly believe that every individual is capable of reaching their true potential, and this is why HR Professionals exist; to help employees bring out the best versions of themselves. The program also taught me the importance of HR practices being conducted in a transparent, unbiased and evidence-based manner.
My favorite course was HR Analytics - I have become data-driven, because I believe that strategic decisions cannot be made without the use of data.
In the process of completing my degree, I was able to land a job in the HR department at the International Labour Organization. Less than a year ago, I moved to the US and became a People & Culture Specialist at Metrie. Pursing a degree in Human Resources Management helped me transfer my theoretical knowledge into practical skills in the workplace, which helped me further grow in my career.
