About the Talk
This talk will discuss the future of Lebanon's banking sector for a business model perspective. In particular, it aims to address the following questions: How would the baking sector look like, and what functions can it play assuming a no-restructuring scenario? Can it even play any meaningful economic function in such a scenario? Can trust be regained in the financial system without a rethink of banks' business models in Lebanon? Given the Lebanese context, what business model(s) would be most suited for a healthy and functional banking sector?
