Synopsis
In this webinar session, Professor Julio O. De Castro discussed his research trajectory, in particular the drivers of his interest in research on entrepreneurship at the base of the pyramid, and different areas of research under that paradigm: product piracy, informality, family and gender in small and medium enterprises, community bases enterprises. The idea of the research program is to address a number of issues related to entrepreneurship at the base of the pyramid in order to, in time, be able to address the complex/multifaceted issue that is entrepreneurship in this context. He also addressed a new paper out of that stream which focuses On Immigrant entrepreneurs: The imprinting of immigration on post-immigration business success (with S. Musaji). Under submission to JIBS
