The Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) collaborated with Bank Audi to customize the Executive Education Advanced Management Program (AMP) intended for the Bank’s mid-career professionals to hone their critical business skills of the ever-changing management practices.
Comprised of top industry experts and faculty, OSB's executive education team developed an advanced 30-day program delivered over 12 months for 20 bank executives to advance their knowledge on the latest frameworks and methodologies of leadership, management, and business innovation strategies. To ensure high levels of interaction and knowledge transfer, the program integrated diverse learning practices including case studies, simulation, role-playing, and team projects.
The program highlight was a capstone group project that saw the development of five distinct innovative and customer-centric products and services. “Participants work in teams and go through a facilitated approach of ideation, exploring different strategic ideas then develop an innovative pathway as a solution to the identified challenges," director of executive education at OSB, Fida Kanaan explained. Throughout this learning experience, professionals applied industry best practices to meet opportunities that arise from current banking trends.
“The AMP was an eye-opener, giving us a 360-degree view of the latest technological trends and international best-practices across many areas of the business world. We came to realize that the rapid changes happening in different industries are more applicable to banking than we had originally thought," Bank Audi Rabieh branch manager Marthe Nawar said, adding that the participants “came out of the program feeling wiser and more mature."
OSB's Executive Education programs help organizations and individuals to develop their strategic thinking and sustain a continuous self-renewal. “We take the talent of the individual and we make it flourish. People come first and employees are the organizations' most important asset," OSB's dean Steve Harvey said, pointing out that “what sets OSB's executive education programs apart from others is our focus on the individual, the organization, and the system."
The intent of AMP is to provide the participants with space and the time to step back, recharge, get exposed to best practices, new skills, concepts, and tools. It is also a platform for knowledge and dialog exchange that brings new perspectives to the workplace. “The barriers of communication have fallen," Nisreen El Khatib, head of Unit and Information Security at Bank Audi said, referring to the new set of skills that participants learned during the course of the program.
The program was built on the bank's core values of human capital development, quality, civic role, innovation, and transparency. The general manager of Bank Audi- Marc Audi has been a champion of the program since its inception, seeing it as an enabler for both Bank Audi's sustained leadership in the Lebanese banking sector and sustainable growth in the international banking sector.
