Two prominent business schools, IE-Business School in Madrid, Spain and the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business at the American University of Beirut have come together to develop and offer a Global Scaleup Program (GSP) in spring 2019. The faculty from both business schools have been selected for their corporate and university experience to build practical and academic knowledge into their featured sessions.
The program provides senior executives with real-world knowledge, tools, and frameworks for scaling up businesses as well as new perspectives and insights into the growth challenges their companies face. The program is designed so busy executives can learn from a convenient modular and blended format that combines the benefits of both online convenience and in-person focus and networking opportunities.
As the executives go through the program, they have the opportunity to work on their organization's Growth Plan and focus on key areas for enhancement. In addition, participants develop their skills, knowledge, and capabilities in strategy, business innovation, cash management, HR management operations, marketing, sales, and governance within the context of scaling up a business.
“We expect a diverse group of participants from across industries and regions to take advantage of this unique offering. We welcome this partnership between OSB and IE Business School as it gives access to a rich and broad expertise for companies wanting to scale up," stated Laith Dajani, executive director of Executive Education at OSB. “Through this collaboration in the Global Scaleup Program, executives can feel confident knowing that they are receiving knowledge from regional and global top experts."
Joaquin Uríbarri, CEO of Executive Education at IE Business School, commented “I'm sure that this collaboration in the Global Scaleup Program of two top academic institutions will bring great value to the content and methodology of the program, and hence to the learning experience of the participants, as well as a positive impact on their organizations' growth."
“It does not matter if you are a high tech or a traditional business, growth is the key to your future success," summarized Bijan Azad, associate professor of business information and decision science. “However, growth means more than doing business as usual, you need to understand the art and science of scaling up beyond what you have been doing so far. The Global Scaleup Program from AUB and IE is where you can find the right answers and learn the craft of scaling up your company from the pros."
